Region 3..The Final Frontier….Chapters in Texas and Louisiana are making their final preperations for the next movie in the franchise, STAR TREK BEYOND. Here are a few of the special events going on.
Texas
Abilene
USS Diamondback will have a table set up at the Century 12 in Abilene on Friday and Saturday to meet and greet with the masses. They also plan to eat together before they set up on Saturday. Several of them also plan to attend the first showing of Beyond Thursday evening because….well, they just can’t wait!
Fort Worth
The USS Regulator will be at the Lake Worth Texas Movie Bisque most of the day Saturday in uniform talking to the crowd about Star Trek.
Houston

Plano
The USS Apollo will host a Fan Table throughout the Star Trek Marathon at Cinemark West Plano on Wednesday, June 20th. The 3rd film in the Marathon will be the premiere of Star Trek Beyond at 10:00 PM CDT.
San Antonio
Zone 4 Chapters including the USS Battle Born, USS Crockett, and USS Tarvos will be manning a table in costume/uniform to promote the movie and to highlight STARFLEET International, The International Star Trek Fan Association at the San Antonio Alamo Drafthouse Westlakes.
Louisiana
Baton Rouge
The crew of the USS Corsair and their full sized single person shuttlepod ‘Beignet’ will be available for photo opportunities from 5:30PM to 9 PM Thursday, July 21, 5:30 to 9PM Friday July 22nd, and Saturday July 23rd from 10 AM to 2PM at the AMC Mall of Louisiana. They will also be playing Pokemon Go! and setting out Lures at the mall to assist players to capture new lifeforms for their collections starting at 5:30.
New Orleans
The USS New Orleans is celebrating the new movie and the 50th Anniversary of Star Trek by running a table at Chalmette Theater (8700 W Judge Perez Dr, Chalmette, LA) Friday July 23nd from 4:30 to close to Sunday July 24th.
Shreveport
The USS Ravensclaw will be at the Cinemark Tinseltown USA – Shreveport (8400 Millicent Way, Shreveport) with an information table.
