Overview
The Region 3 Summit is a yearly event that brings together Star Trek fans from the region to network, learn, and have fun! The summit is hosted by a different ship each year. Normally would be held in sector 5 but next year’s Summit will be an open bid.
The following years’ Summits are listed in the updated 2023 summit bid guideline booklet.
Bid Guidelines
The bidding guidelines for the Region 3 Summit 2024 are as follows:
- The organization must be located in Region 3.
- The organization must have a track record of hosting successful events.
- The organization must have the financial resources to host the summit.
- The organization must submit a detailed proposal that includes the following:

- A budget i.e. hotel, room costs, etc.
- A timeline
- A plan for marketing and promotion

Submission Process
Proposals must be submitted to summit@region3.org by August 31, 2023.
Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- The ship’s experience in hosting events
- The ship’s financial resources i.e. merch, ship funds, fundraisers, etc.
- The ships’ summit theme
- The quality of the proposal
- The overall value of the bid to Region 3
Selection Process
The selection committee will review all proposals and select the ship that is best suited to host the Region 3 Summit 2024. The selection committee will make its decision by September 9, 2023.
