Region 3 Summit is nearly upon us! If you have not registered, please do so – though you can register at the door(for a slightly increased price of $50). 

 

The MEALS, however, MUST be purchased before Midnight on Sunday August 20th. That is THIS coming Sunday. Seems we were off a few days in our calculations to get everything to the hotel for the banquet orders – so now we must have that information in hand by SUNDAY.

The same is true if you ordered a meal and have any dietary restrictions. The Summit staff must know that no later than SUNDAY night. Send that information to Summit@region3.org ASAP. 

 

We still need volunteers! 

We need General hands, assistant to the Commander, STARFLEET, and Auction room helpers. We’ve tried to break these into shifts, so that no one is stuck in one place forever. Please go to our volunteer registration form, or reach out to the summit staff (summit@region3.org).  We have it broken out by times and roles! 

 

Final Mission – We need volunteers for this as well! We are looking for up to six volunteers for this as well. It will require a uniform (preferably a Picard Season 1, in any color), though we may be able to mix and match depending on who volunteers. Any volunteers for this should be onsite on Friday night, and ready to practice preferably before, but certainly after the Marine Mess Dress, and able to perform Saturday Morning during opening ceremonies. 

 

But that isn’t ALL you can volunteer for… 

As you may have heard, this is now a Diplomatic Summit – meaning we will have to negotiate with the Klingon Empire (represented by KAG)! 

• We need YOU to volunteer to represent Starfleet and the United Federation of Planets in one of the three debate sessions.
  • Session 1 – Handling and disposition of local flora and fauna  (Saturday prior to lunch)
  • Session 2 – Military assets and -Basing rights, strength limitations, etc. (Saturday after Marine Muster/Space Program panel)
  • Session 3 – Grand Debate – Mineral and other resources AND anything else that’s come up
• Everyone attending the summit will have a token to vote for the winner of each debate session!
• We need two to three members to represent SF/UFP each session! Each will have helpers from the Diplomatic Corps to assist you in preparation and during the debate.

 

As you can see – there are a LOT of ways to be involved in this year’s summit, both in assisting it happen and participation!
